ABOUT
What is Caballo Press of Ann Arbor & Caballito Children's Books?
Caballo Press of Ann Arbor and Caballito Children's Books is a privately held publisher of books pertaining to Thoroughbred horse racing. Being a privately held publisher gives Caballo Press of Ann Arbor the freedom to publish only those books deemed of the highest quality in both the writing and the material covered. Our first title, The Untold Story of Joe Hernandez: The Voice of Santa Anita, won the Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award, an award that recognizes the equine industry's book of the year. Our second publication, The Garrett Gomez Story: A Jockey's Journey Through Addiction & Salvation, was a finalist for the same award. Both have reached Bestseller status on Amazon.
Our Mission
Caballo Press of Ann Arbor exists to publish and bring awareness to the best books dealing with Thoroughbred Horse Racing, as well as to bring innovative ideas and ideals for the publication of these stories. It is also our mission to give back a portion of every book we publish to non-profits related to the equine industry. Finally, it is our mission to bring awareness to Thoroughbred rescues and to the on-going work of the Winners Foundation.
