ItsMyReality by Linda Wright

“From the age of 2 years, I have been a horse crazy female but as I became a young adult; I moved away from my Texas ranch roots only to return years later.
I raised 3 wonderful sons who all became firefighters in spite of my attempts to convert them to all things equine! My youngest son was 27 years old when he lost his hard fought 5 year battle against a rare cancer.
It brought us together through a time frame most parents miss with their kids. I honestly looked back upon my life complete with its ups/downs, laughter and tears, smiles, heartbreak, and learned to embrace the joy positive and healing thoughts gave to me.
From May 27, 2008 when I became deathly ill with GBS to the present day, my life journey and ongoing physical recovery is only a hiccup, an unexpected interruption which will cease. I focus on all positive input and experiences, drawing upon the loving example my sons set before me. I especially remember my son Gregg's fearless attitude and courage in his battle against cancer. I have tried to follow the example he set before me:
1)Surround myself with the loving support of my sons and multitude of family & friends;
2) Reach out to others. Lend a hand or perhaps a smile. It is appreciated and it also makes me (or you) feel better;
3) Strive to make each and every day count, as today is a gift and happily ItsMyReality.”
